About Susan
Susan is a Certified Personal Trainer.
She earned certifications from ACE
(American Council on Exercise) and AFFA (Aerobics and Fitness
Association of America) in 1997. She has over 15 years of combined
education and experience in health and fitness. In 1987 she earned
a Master's degree in psychology with a subspecialty in psychophysiology,
stress and disease. In 1989 she became certified as a biofeedback
provider by the Biofeedback
Certification Institute of America. And in 1990 Susan began
treating patients with biofeedback at NYU Medical Center. Susan
used a combination of exercise and behavioral approaches to treat
patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries,
and other neurological impairments during her 8 ½ years
at NYU. However, Susan was most interested in working with patients
with facial paralysis and developed her own treatment regimen.
Susan is currently interested in promoting physical fitness through
personal training, as well as mind / body fitness through computerized
biofeedback instrumentation. Susan's personal interests include
skiing, skating, and weight lifting. |
