About Susan

Susan is a Certified Personal Trainer. She earned certifications from ACE (American Council on Exercise) and AFFA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) in 1997. She has over 15 years of combined education and experience in health and fitness. In 1987 she earned a Master's degree in psychology with a subspecialty in psychophysiology, stress and disease. In 1989 she became certified as a biofeedback provider by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America. And in 1990 Susan began treating patients with biofeedback at NYU Medical Center. Susan used a combination of exercise and behavioral approaches to treat patients with strokes, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological impairments during her 8 ½ years at NYU. However, Susan was most interested in working with patients with facial paralysis and developed her own treatment regimen. Susan is currently interested in promoting physical fitness through personal training, as well as mind / body fitness through computerized biofeedback instrumentation. Susan's personal interests include skiing, skating, and weight lifting.
